Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
We recently moved overseas and are staying in a hotel until we find housing. I have two burners to cook with and my dutch oven. I made this recipe in my dutch oven on the stovetop. I cooked on med/lo for 3-4 hours. Followed the recipe with the exception my roast was 3 lbs. Turned out wonderful and everyone liked it.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
I made this for Christmas gifts and used 6 mini loaf pans. After the batter was in the pans, I added 2T of Smucker's blackberry or strawberry "Just Fruit" onto the top and worked it into the batter a bit. I baked them all at one time at 325 degrees F for only 40 mins. My friends loved them!

Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars

Easy and delicious recipe. I substituted slivered almonds for the pecans and didn't have allspice so I used pumpkin pie spice instead. It was a great hit!

Rum Cake I

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
An easy and yummy recipe. I used butter and sugar (instead of flour) to coat pan to prevent sticking. I also used a 5 oz. pudding mix as opposed to a 3.5 oz. pkg. This was a real hit at the birthday party for a friend!

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
fantastic recipe! I made a few modifications- I used 1 pound of chicken and added chunks of red potatoes. the recipe was really easy, which is important to me. I simmered the curry for an hour uncovered, and the curry thickened quite nicely! Thanks!

Pork Tenderloin with Herb Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
I made this because I was looking for something to do with the tenderloin that did not require marinating over night. This was super easy. I grilled it and am usually intimidated by the grill so that goes to show how easy it is. Just keep turning it and my tenderloins were kinda halves so they grilled nicely! Very impressive! Yum!

Deer Chop Hurry

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
I used antelope chops, did not brown the meat first as other reviewers indicated it wasn't necessary, and added some fresh mushrooms. It turned into a ragu-type of dish, so I served it over garlic mashed potatoes. Talk about easy and delicious!

Baked Acorn Squash with Apricot Preserves

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
Great! I only needed 2 tbsp of preserves, maybe my squash wasn't that big. A nice change from maple syrup and butter. Thanks for the recipe. :)

Pork Chop and Roasted Red Pepper Bake

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
This is good - and very lemony! I didn't bake mine off in the oven as I was worried my chops would dry out. Just topped the browned chops with peppers and sauce. I thought the white sauce might break when I added the lemon, but it was fine. You'll need quite a bit of salt and pepper to balance out the lemon. Something different, but good. Thanks!

Chile Garlic BBQ Salmon

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
because i was without, i used no lime, no green onion, no fresh ginger. i did use 1 heaping tspn powdered ginger. and a heaping tbspn of sambal chile sauce due to my preference for POW! flavor. i also added a dollop of olive oil and water then marinaded the salmon for about 90 mins. yummy, incredible, delish, moist flavor. hubs said it was superb. will definitely make again.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
Absolutely fantastic. I used 1/4c. milk and 1/4c. brown sugar. It was still very sweet. I took the advice of another reviewer and put the brown sugar and ketchup mixture on top of the meatloaf. I added about 1/4tsp of garlic and left out the onion. Will make many more times.
